Abstract
A very simple and reliable hand-held teslameter is described. The probe is a low-cost commercial Hall sensor chip. A voltage regulator and an LCD driver complete the circuit. A test solenoid is described to provide a straightforward absolute calibration with an overall accuracy better than 1% up to 1 T.
