Abstract
The interlacing property for the line spectrum frequencies (LSFs) is extended to the LSFs associated to successive order predictor polynomials. The corresponding separation theorem gives the most precise lower and upper bounds of the intervals which the LSFs may belong to.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
