Abstract

With the widely application of cloud computing, the scale of cloud service data center network is constantly expanding. The virtual machine(VM) live migration technology is becoming more crucial in cloud data centres for achieving load balance, or allocating computing resources effectively. In this paper, we present the locality live migration model taking into account the distance, available bandwidth and costs between containers. Furthermore, we conduct comprehensive experiments on a cluster. Extensive simulation results show that the proposed method can improve the utilization of resources, and can also improve the balance of all kinds of resources on the physical machine.
