Abstract
The extant mss. of the Vulgate Queste fall into two broad families, α and β. By far the largest number of mss. belong to family α. The Bancroft ms.(formerly Phillips 4377 and for a long time unavailable to scholars), derives from family β and is closely related to B.N. fr. 342.
