Abstract

This study aims to explore how organizations could measure the impact of their knowledge transfer in organizations, with the presence of IT support as the medium of transferring the knowledge. Studies have shown that IT plays an important role in order to ensure the impact of knowledge transfer process. Knowledge transfer has become a common initiative for organizations to share knowledge; however the impact of the process is rarely being measured by the organizations. This is due to the lack of guideline or model to monitor the impact of the knowledge transfer. The main objective of this study is to develop a model that could guide the measurement of impact of knowledge transfer with the presence of information technology (IT). The findings of this research will be collected through data analysis from the interview session with the respective organizations that will be conducted in the methodology phase. The proposed model will then be assessed by the related respondent, whether it is effective enough to guide the measurement of knowledge transfer process. The findings of this research can help organizations to determine the strengths and weaknesses of their knowledge transfer practices as well as to be able to conduct an effective knowledge transfer process.
