Abstract

Abstract The main motto of all the modifications in heat transfer equipment is to save energy and capital investments by reducing cost. The heat exchanger with minimum cost and at low pumping power with high rate of heat transfer is considered to be more efficient. In the current study the focus is made on researcher's development in experimental and analysis of heat exchanger with corrugated shape and chevron angle plate heat exchanger which includes design, experimental outcomes with different fluids like air, water, glycerin, nano fluids and also numerical analysis. The heat exchanger of corrugated type has a large surface area for heat transfer per unit volume, which leads to a high thermal performance with counter-flow operation. Heat exchangers with corrugated shape are mostly used in different engineering areas.
