Abstract

Geospatial data is a key part of the digital age. It contains geographic coordinates and location information of people, vehicles, objects and natural phenomena. The rapid growth in its use is due to smartphones, GPS, social media and various location-based applications. This has led to a new paradigm shift in how data is used across industries. This article looks at the multifaceted role of geolocation data in today's society and examines how important it is in the development and change of various industries in today's world.
