Abstract

As we know that handicraft sector is playing a significant role from the ancient time to depict the arts and culture of India. It is second largest employment generating sector after agriculture. Indian handicraft sector is world famous of its uniqueness, aesthetic value, beauty etc. and it has a great demand in the international market. It has a great scope in the coming future but the workers of the handicraft sector still uses the same methods of doing the work, which create so many problems to them. Because of that reasons the interest and productivity of the crafts products is decreases for the time being. This study is based on secondary data and the prime work of the paper is to go through the various research papers available on ergonomics factors on handicraft sectors. The researchers focused on different factors which adversely affect the working environment of the artisans. The work is descriptive in nature and neck, shoulder, wrist, elbow and back are the most effecting factor which adversely effects the overall production of the products.
