Abstract

A linear polarized dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) array fed by a radial-line waveguide is presented. The radial-line waveguide is simple in design and has a low loss with respect to the feeding structure of DRA arrays. A prototype array with 180-element is fabricated, which achieves a maximum gain of 26.7 dBi, a realized aperture efficiency of 59.5%, and improved linearly polarization properties. We show that there is a good agreement between simulated and measured results.
