Abstract

The linear tetrapyrrole ligand, H2TPKB, undergoes chemical modification through hydroxide addition to produce a binuclear copper(II) complex with an interesting structure that involves coordination of the three pyrrole nitrogen atoms to one copper(II) center, a bridging alkoxide, and the terminal keto group which is bound to the second copper(II) center.
