Abstract
Feature selection can eliminate redundant and noisy features well, is advantageous in the enhancement of intrusion detection system's detection speed and detection rate, thus a survey of intrusion detection system based on feature selection is necessary, also conforms to the trend in the field of intrusion detection. This paper proposes a new lightweight intrusion detection systems based on filter mode, Whether the feature selection algorithm in the data set or optimization of the parameters of Classifier, are given effective implementation strategy that will raise the detection speed, reduce classification interference, and thus improve the intrusion detection rate.
