Abstract
Algebraic solutions of certain Painlevé VI equations are produced by solving linear systems with monodromy contained in the octahedral subgroup of SO(3). The method uses the algebraic geometry of special plane curves, and makes contact with some classical geometrical problems. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification 34M55, 14H45.
