Abstract
Abstract Estimation of LPC (AR) parameters of speech signals in additive noise can be approached as the estimation of the AR parameters of an ARMA process. A recursive algorithm is presented that estimates the AR parameters without noise bias. This is based on the Toeplitz extended Yule-Walker equations. Using the Trench algorithm, a lattice structure is developed, leading to a gradient-type algorithm which may be steepest ascent or steepest descent.
