Abstract
With the rapid development of the Internet, the transmission of information between people has become simple and convenient. In the public Internet, the confidentiality of information is an important issue. This problem can be solved easily by using steganography, which also is referred to as 'data hiding.' In 2006, Zhang and Wang proposed an 'exploiting modification direction' (EMD) scheme in which one pixel-group can carry one secret digit. However, the embedding rate of their scheme still can be enhanced. For this reason, in this paper, we proposed a novel, two-level EMD scheme. The embedding rate of our proposed scheme is double that of the EMD scheme. We included analyses and comparisons of our scheme with other schemes.
