Abstract

AbstractA kinoform to produce an array of 4 × 4 equal‐intensity Gaussian beams from a single Gaussian beam has been designed, manufactured, and evaluated at 100 GHz. The kinoform was fabricated by milling a Teflon plate, and symmetry of the amplitude distribution and a binary phase control were used to obtain a simple phase relief surface. The measured diffraction efficiency is about 95%. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
