Abstract
High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) is the next generation video coding standard which has significant coding efficiency improvement compare to H.264/AVC. Interpolation Filter is the key technique to achieve high performance in video coding. In this paper, we propose a jointly optimized predictive-adaptive partitioned block transform (EDST) to exploit the spatial characteristics of HEVC and improve video coding performance.
