Abstract

Florida Atlantic University, Indian River Community College, and the St. Lucie County Library developed a joint-use library facility serving the information needs of three distinct populations. This article reviews planning, staffing, managing, and collection development issues encountered by the partners of the joint-use library. The complex nature of the operation is described through interviews with library staff and library administrators. Agreements between the cooperating libraries are included.
