Abstract
In this study, an experimental investigation of the conventional valve-controlled and variable speed pump-controlled control of the press brake system with two hydraulic double-acting actuators was carried out. The system envisaged on the 80-ton press brake, which is one of the press machines in which hydraulic systems are widely used, has been applied. In conventional valve-controlled systems, the flow rate in the system is adjusted with the help of a proportional valve, while the required flow in the variable-speed pump-controlled system is provided by changing the pump speed with the help of a servo motor. From the results obtained, it has been seen that 54% energy saving can be achieved in 100 cycles. The amount of oil used has also been reduced.
