Abstract

DOI : 10.12957/interag.2015.15912 The project Ecovillage: the use of digital media in the constitution of knowledge and values - coordinated by the Multimedia Center of UERJ’s Ilha Grande Ecomuseum program - comes up with the purposes of promoting digital inclusion in Dois Rios village (Ilha Grande/ RJ), a community away from the mainland and deprived of access to information and communication technology and, above all, contributing to the social inclusion of the local population through the use of multiple digital media as a tool to citizenship. Many challenges have been overcome during the project, and the results were rewarding. The Digital Ecovillage experience made it clear how essential is the mobilization of efforts to propose new directions not only to the democratization of access but, with the help of multiple media available, to promote the integration between education, technology and citizenship, aimed at social transformation of the Dois Rios community.
