Abstract

The nutrition of CrossFit athletes must be adequate to face very intense training. Since nutrition plays a fundamental role in providing the body with the energy and nutrients necessary to overcome its limits. In view of this, the general objective of this article was to evaluate the importance of nutrition for performance in CrossFit athletes. This study is a bibliographic review research. The main results showed that there is a need for nutritional monitoring of CrossFit athletes to be able to have more energy during training and improve performance. It is concluded that this study can serve as a guiding support material for CrossFit athletes and can also serve as a subsidy for students and professionals in the area of nutrition. It is also suggested that more research on this subject be developed in order to better clarify.
