Abstract

In this paper, a hybrid vehicle model is presented. Different factors affecting vehicle dynamics referred in modern cruise control concepts are modeled in three sub-models: a complemented two-track chassis model, an aerodynamic model and LuGre based 2D tire models. We show that the good incorporation of these subsystems contributes to an accurate reproduction of the vehicle driving behavior, and also contributes to the developments of advanced cruise control systems.
