Abstract

A Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) controller and High step-up DC-DC converter are essential components in fuel cell-based electric vehicles. A high step-up hybrid DC-DC converter combining the input stages of Boost and Cuk converter is proposed in this article. The proposed topology requires only a single switch which reduces the voltage stress across the diodes. This manuscript proposes an Adaptive N euro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) based maximum power point tracking technique for Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) system based electric vehicles. The proposed controller's performance is evaluated under different operating conditions. The operation principle of the proposed system and the comparison proposed system with the Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) are discussed. The proposed system is simulated in MATLAB/Simulink platform to analyse the performance of the system.
