Abstract
AbstractIt is essential to distinguish between moisture content defined on a wet-weight basis and an oven-dry basis. The use of the suffixes w (wet) and d (dry) is proposed. The conversion from one form to the other is given, and the advantage, in attenuation calculations, of using the dry-weight basis is illustrated.
