Abstract

A previously unknown fifteenth-century book of hours has been discovered in the Cushwa-Leighton Library of Saint Mary’s College (Notre Dame, IN). The following study provides an analytical description of the manuscript, analyses of codicological, paleographical, and liturgical features, decoration, and provenance. The results show the manuscript originated in a center of organised production in the Amiénois in the second half of the fifteenth century and spent over a century in the possession of Picard nobility in the Seigneurie du Fay-lès-Hornoy.
