Abstract

We have built a 20 × 20 mm 2 high-resolution (60 μm FWHM) two-dimensional multiwire proportional counter for X-ray speckle spectroscopy. The detector works with a 10 bar Ar C 2 H 6 ( 80 20 ) mixture. The position is determined by the delay line method ( T D = 1 μs) and has a time resolution in the microsecond range.
