Abstract

We present a novel approach to wireless telemetry consists of an Amplitude Shift Keying (ASK) demodulator and a clock recovery circuit. In this paper, the ASK demodulator be provided without the capacitor and the resistor, fully integrated, high-speed low-power coherent circuit. The implanted analog circuit consists of an ASK demodulator unit, a clock extraction unit. The carrier frequency of implanted circuit is applied in the 10 MHz range, the data rates up to 2 M bit/s are supported, suitable for complex implants such as visual implants and so on. Applied to a data recovery system, the demodulator reaches 10 -3 BER for 10 dB SNR. High-performance and low power wireless telemetry comprising a CMOS circuit has been designed, fabricated and verified. All of circuits were implemented in a standard 0.35-mum CMOS technology.
