Abstract

In this paper, we propose a super-speed, high reliable and multi-channel optical fiber transmission system for hyper-spectral SCMOS camera with a large field of view. In our system, we use the super-speed serializer to connect parallel image side and serial optical module. A small form factor pluggable optical transceiver module is used as the electro-optic interface. 6-channels SCMOS images with parallel 96bit can be transmitted by only 3-channels serial optical fiber. The data rates reach 2.36Gbps. To improve the stability of optical fiber transmission, we propose a multi-channel merge transmission approach to avoid the channel to channel crosstalk. In order to improve the transmission bandwidth of digital image, the performance of fiber link, and the anti-interference ability of electromagnetic, we propose an error correction algorithm based on LCC approach. And the LCC implementation structure based on very large scale integration (VLSI) is proposed. Finally, the experiments were performed on the prototype in SCMOS camera. The results showed that the transmission system has a high reliability. The correcting algorithm has the characteristics of strong error detecting ability, less resource occupation and easier to be realized with hardware.
