Abstract

A non-isolated high step-down voltage conversion ratio DC-DC topology is introduced in this paper. The proposed converter has a two-phase interleaved buck on its output side, in the meantime, having a switched-capacitor topology based on Dickson charge pump in its input side, the novel converter integrates two-stage converter based on switched-capacitor and two-phase interleaved buck, which makes its active switches reduced by half. Therefore, the novel converter combines advantages of switched-capacitor and two-phase interleaved buck, it has these features of high voltage gain, low voltage stress across these active switches and low output current ripple. It is very suitable for applications required high voltage gain and power density. A hardware prototype of the proposed converter with V in =100V and V o =12V has been built to verify its performance, the experimental results reach a good agreement with theoretical analysis, the peak efficiency of 60W prototype reaches 94.7%.
