Abstract

This paper presents a high-speed voltage based on Strong-Arm comparator with a MOM capacitor array. The comparator increases the discharge path of output node to improve the speed performance. An adjustable MOM capacitor array is designed for the process variation and mismatch. The proposed comparator is implemented using a 40-nm CMOS technology. The simulation results indicated that the power dissipation is 215 µW with 1GHz sampling clock, and the delay is lower compared to the conventional. The proposed circuit shows a 4.33mV offset deviation during the Monte-Carlo analysis.
