Abstract

AbstractA tunable fiber Bragg grating (FBG) filter with a tuning resolution of less than one picometer (pm) is demonstrated. The FBG is embedded in carbon‐fiber composite material, which is bent by using a simple mechanical setup. A tuning range of 2 nm and repeatability of less than 0.4% are obtained. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
