Abstract

Several electronic levels of Li 3Eu(2,6-pyridinedicarboxylato) 3 have been studied through the use of low-temperature high-resolution single- and two-photon excitation emission spectroscopy. The observed shifts in the emission spectrum are described. The spectrum obtained exhibits the emission transitions characteristic for a Eu III ion in a distorted D 3 h symmetry site.
