Abstract
We have recently demonstrated amplification in a Ti:Sapphire laser system up to 30 Joules before compression at the record repetition rate of 0.1 Hz. This CPA Ti: Sapphire laser system is the first femtosecond petawatt class laser system running at a high repetition rate of 0.1Hz. Such performances have been obtained thanks to the particular design of the last booster amplifier. In this paper, we will present the last results obtained on this system and the different strategies we have carried out for counteracting the two most limiting factors for high energy amplification that are the parasitic lasing in the large aperture Ti: Sapphire crystal and the spatial homogenisation of the pump laser beams. This laser will be used as a driver of the LASERIX facility.
