Abstract

An analog drift chamber readout circuit featuring 1 nS time resolution, low drift, and low parts count has been developed for the Collider Detector Facility at Fermilab. The common stop circuit converts time to voltage for later readout by a multiplexed ADC system. Features include a fast output indicating a hit channel, a preamp powered over the interconnecting cable, and redundant readout of the multi-channel card.
