Abstract

Frequency modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) is continuous wave RADAR widely used for Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Collision Warning System (CWS). The paper presents a design and simulation of millimeter wave FMCW RADAR. Paper introduces a mathematical modeling of a FMCW RADAR including its target model. Design of a 76.5 GHz FMCW RADAR & its target model by using Advanced Design System (ADS) software and target range & velocity at various conditions are employed in the simulated FMCW RADAR system to verify the operation of the system.
