Abstract

AbstractIn this paper, we give a brief introduction into two numerical flux functions in the context of Finite Volume Schemes on unstructured grids of theoretically arbitrary high order, namely the well‐ known ADER‐ and the new STE‐ Scheme. We will emphasize in particular the differences with regard to computing time. Further we give an example comparing the results of the schemes applied for the first time to the 2D Shallow Water Equation. (© 2008 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
