Abstract
SummaryAll bright stars classified as normal B8-A0, luminosity class III, by Cowley et al. (1969) and Cowley (1972) have been examined on high dispersion spectrograms (10 and 20 Å/mm) obtained at Mt. Wilson in 1972 and 1973. Of 152 stars observed, 4 shell stars, 16 Hg or Hg-Mn stars, and 2 stars with other anomalies were found. Nine of these had previously been described as peculiar, although only four were in published sources at the time these observations were made.
