Abstract

As multimedia commerce grows, content distributors' needs for digital rights management schemes that provide flexible access control becomes more and more eminent. This paper proposes a digital rights management scheme that can provide pay-per-play access control in pre-distributed video applications. The paper explains the scheme and proves through an evaluation of its communication overhead, computational overhead and security that this scheme provides a favorable solution for pay-per-play access control requirements.
