Abstract
The paper deals with the modelling issues of complex industrial processes. Especially concerning methodology for building models, of use both for process analysis and for control design purposes. The process modelling environment of the ISEE-package (Integrated System Engineering Environment) is introduced with a brief general description of ISEE. The hierarchical way of presenting models is especially important in large scale systems, like industrial plants. Modularization facilitates flexible modelling and building of model libraries.
