Abstract

An advanced three-dimensional few-group diffusion burnup model in hexagonal geometry is described. The model was developed for fuel depletion analysis as well as for investigations of reactor transmutation characteristics. Results from the verification of the model on different fast breeder reactor benchmarks and its application for neutronic design studies are presented.
