Abstract
In this paper, a heuristic algorithm for computing optimal routes in road networks is described. To analyze the benefits of this algorithm, it is compared and discussed with a non-heuristic algorithm as well as alternative approaches. This heuristic algorithm can be employed in Autonomous Route Management and Guidance Systems (ARMGS).
