Abstract
This paper discusses the key concepts of hermeneutic phenomenology in relationship to art therapy focusing particularly on providing a theoretical foundation for the training and supervision of art therapists. It is my proposal that a hermeneutic phenomenology can provide an excellent theoretical method and basis for art therapy (Carpendale, 2006).
