Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) devices are becoming commercially available, from Amazon Echo to simple Amazon Dash buttons; the realization of such devices which responds to end users' actions are now at the reach of developers' hands due to the existence of cheap electronic kits and plethora of Web APIs. In this work-in-progress paper, we report our experience in creating a vending machine that uses Twitter API to interact with user's requests. Our reported work is part of a bigger project for creating programming and self-assembled IoT toolkit for the end user that utilizes Web APIs.
