Abstract
An interesting group of post-medieval pottery datable to the second quarter of the 17th century was found during clearance of a garderobe shaft at Dover Castle in 1958. This group contains many imports, some of which are recorded for the first time in a stratified association with English fine and coarse wares. The imports came from France, Germany, Holland, Italy and the Mediterranean.
