Abstract

Coumarins are organic compounds having immensely broad spectrum of application in the field of therapeutics. Also, synthesis of their derivatives turns out to be hazardous for the nature. In our study we have tried a way better approach for bis-coumarin derivative synthesis which is driven by fruit juices as the catalyst. Herein we have tried to explain the role of catalyst in synthesis as well as the reaction mechanism of the synthesis. The spectral data confirms the formation of the product.
