Abstract

The circuit described offers an inexpensive way of adding reversal capability to existing monochrome monitors. It is simple, contains less than $35 worth of parts and provides excellent performance. The composite video signal which is normally applied to the input of the display system is shown. This waveform is used as the inverter input and contains two components which are known as the picture video signal and the synchronisation pulses. The pulses are used to synchronise the vertical and horizontal sweeps of the display.
