Abstract

Many kinds of track circuits have been widely used in railway and light transit systems, including jointed track circuit and jointless track circuit. It is no doubt that the regulation of current track circuits and the development of new ones under some specific situations are boring. This paper proposes a graphics modeling based simulator. Taking advantages of the boundary conditions analysis method, any kind of track circuit in any working state can be expressed succinctly; meanwhile, the method is easy to be realized by computer algorithm. Based on this method, the graphics model of track circuit can be deduced. Just as in Simulink of MATLAB, a track circuit simulation model can be described by the linkage of many basic track circuit segments. The related simulation database is generated automatically. Finally, various kinds of simulation analysis can be performed. At the same time, the boundary condition analysis method can also be used in the analysis of track circuit interference from parallel track circuit. Through Laplace transformation, an effective solution of crosstalk modeling is given. Some simulation examples are listed at the end.
