Abstract

Graph-theoretic conditions are derived which guarantee the decentralized stability of a linear multivariable plant using local state feedback or dynamic output feedback. The method is based on the structural interpretation of the characteristic polynomial of the closed-loop system and takes into account both the connective and the non-connective stability, leading to a distinct enlargement of the decentrally stabilizable system classes presently known.
