Abstract
Hyperglycemia in the perioperative period is a risk factor for surgical site infections (SSIs). Many patients undergoing vascular surgery have dysglycemia and are at risk. Local data indicated that SSIs were increased in vascular surgery, so a QI initiative was undertaken.
