Abstract

If A is an Artin group whose poset of finite type special subgroups is a flag complex, then A is said to be of FC type. Such groups act cocompactly on a CAT(0) cubical complex with finite type Artin groups as stabilizers. We use the geometry of this complex to obtain a rational normal form for the group.
