Abstract

The uniform theory of diffraction (UTD) is extended to include double diffraction by an arbitrary configuration of two wedges. A scalar double diffraction coefficient is defined which is uniform throughout space while reducing to the product of single diffraction coefficients outside overlapping transition regions. The result is formulated in terms of double Fresnel integrals which can be rapidly evaluated. >
